Aerodynamics

With the benefits of extensive Computer Aided Design and wind tunnel testing, the Lexus CT 200h has been designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. A resultant, class-leading drag coefficient of just Cd 0.28 not only improves fuel efficiency, but also significantly enhances high speed stability, handling and ride comfort.

Every aspect of the Lexus CT 200h's upper bodywork has been painstakingly detailed for superb airflow management. The minimisation of the vehicle's coefficient of lift essential to both fuel efficiency and handling stability, equal attention has been paid to underbody airflow management. Numerous aerodynamic elements include diffuser fins, comprehensive undercovers and wheel arch spats. Even the installation of the main exhaust muffler and the shape of the rear bumper cover have been optimised to create the smoothest possible underbody airflow.
